{"id":1686,"date":"2026-10-06T12:40:48","date_gmt":"2026-10-06T12:40:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.ich.org\/index.php\/guidelines\/q9\/"},"modified":"2026-10-06T12:40:48","modified_gmt":"2026-10-06T12:40:48","slug":"q9","status":"publish","type":"guideline","link":"https:\/\/dev.ich.org\/index.php\/guidelines\/q9\/","title":{"rendered":"Q9 \u2013 Quality Risk Management"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The ICH Q9(R1) Guideline reached <em>Step 4<\/em> of the ICH process on 18 January 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The ICH Q9(R1) <em>Quality Risk Management Guideline<\/em> is intended to provide guidance on the principles and examples of tools for quality risk management that can be applied to different aspects of pharmaceutical quality and make limited and specific adjustments to specific chapters and annexes of the current ICH Q9 Guideline on Quality Risk Management (QRM).<\/p>\n<p>Further to reaching <em>Step 4<\/em> Guideline adoption, the WG continues to work to develop specific training materials (with examples) to supplement the existing ICH briefing pack on ICH Q9, as well as to explain and facilitate the implementation and application of the proposed revisions.<\/p>\n<p>Further information can be found in the Q9(R1) Concept Paper and Business Plan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The ICH Q9(R1) Guideline reached Step 4 of the ICH process on 18 January 2023.
